Completed projects

I like to think of businesses as projects. Occasionally, I am hired as a project manager or consultant for private or public initiatives.  Nonetheless, I am not available for new projects and/or consulting projects.

Completed projects:

2018-2019: Project Manager for Departamento de Vivienda (Puerto Rico Housing Office) and FEMA’s “Tu Hogar Renace” reconstruction program in Puerto Rico (Jan 2018-Jun 2019) following Hurricanes Irma and Maria. Designed and developed different departments with teams of more than 75+ professionals. Key player in organization’s growth and culture. From start to finish and with a peak of close to 3000 employees, I was involved in all stages of the project until the last day that we closed along with 16 other professionals.

2017-2018: Housing inspector and damage assessment specialist with Vanguard Emergency Management in San Juan, Puerto Rico

2015: Restoration of the “Cúpula del Palacio de Santa Catalina en La Fortaleza”, the governor’s house in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. This beautiful neoclassical monument is unique and was finished in 1845 under the leadership of Queen Elizabeth II. It is a patrimony of UNESCO.

I was brought onto the project, by the respected conservationist and architect Pablo Ojeda to put together a team to restore frescoes and other artistic details. My team consisted of 17 local artists and students to work on the second stage of the restoration: painting all the shaft of the stairs and the ornaments and executing the application of gold leaf throughout the architectural details. It is a structure 60′ feet high with a diameter of 24′ feet. We worked day and night and 7 days a week to complete the project in 4 months time. A book was published. 2015: “Los Muros de la Uni”:  Urban art project held in July-August 2015 in the Bayamón campus of the University of Puerto Rico. Project consisted of 9 murals and the painting of a transportation trolley to shuttle students to/from campus to the local metro station.

2010-2015: CEO at Foro Creativo, a technology company that launched two local daily deal websites in Puerto Rico: Groopanda and DiBOGA.This was a successful venture that helped many local merchants increase visibility, foot traffic, and sales. Coupled with our own in-house, branding, design, marketing and promotions agency, we served over 700 clients and acquired a competitor, along the way.

Other past entrepreneurial projects, either as founder or co-founder, include: Futuroe, Leadership Fuel Coaching & Consulting, Kilombo Productions, Expohogar, Today’s Woman, MyTechieCoach, Kollage Kollective, Fuel for the Journey Newsletter, Groopanda, Foro Creativo, DiBOGA, myDreamBucket (early facebook app), Electrosound and Revolution DJ’s. I also worked at J. Walter Thompson and Grey advertising agencies and at the Graziadio Graduate School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University

As an avid reader and lifetime student, I have also managed to get several degrees and diplomas along the journey: B.S. in Management Science (Marketing concentration) from Louisiana State University Business School; Masters of Arts in Theology, Arts and Culture from Fuller in California; partial MBA in Leadership and Managing Organizational Change from the Graziadio Graduate School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University; Professional Life Coach Certification by the International Coach Academy in Australia; Italian intermediate-advanced language diploma from the Istituto Italiano in Florence; Diplomado in Artistic Contemporary Photography by NODE Center for Curatorial Studies in Berlin, Germany.
