Recovery.gov is a website that lets you, the taxpayer, figure out where the money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is going. There are going to be a few different ways to search for information. The money is being distributed by Federal agencies, and soon you’ll be able to see where it’s going — to which states, to which congressional districts, even to which Federal contractors. As soon as we are able to, we’ll display that information visually in maps, charts, and graphics. (from the website)

A New Era of [Political] Responsability (Recovery.org)
I love the fact that President Obama and the new administration are making every effort to use all technological resources available to lead with integrity and transparency. Gone are the days (I hope) of politicians throwing and exchanging money behind closed doors. Democracy is about us all being involved and informed. This new website, WWW.RECOVERY.ORG, lets every taxpayer in the US track where the money of this economic recovery plan is going. Not only is this revolutionary, but it sets a new standard of integrity and accountability in political history. Now, not only can US residents, but citizens of the world go online and track the process. Is America on the way to becoming more transparent? I certainly hope so!
